Hotel Victoria in Robin Hood’s Bay is set to host a series of events this summer as part of its 2026 programme for locals, visitors and guests.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Robin Hood’s Bay, this popular hotel has well-equipped comfortable Sea-View Terraces and Garden, which will provide the perfect location for a range of events celebrating coastal cuisine, local music and culture.

Back by popular demand, the hotel’s much-loved annual Summer BBQ returns on 20th June from 4pm, co-created by the hotel’s award-winning chef, Ryan Osborne, and local butcher Andrew Radford. Ryan will serve a menu using the very best locally sourced Yorkshire produce including beef burgers with relish, vegetarian skewers, Cumberland sausages with mustard mayo, lamb kofta with cucumber riata, Caesar salad and Greek salad. There will also be live music performances from local artists.

Music on the Terrace, a relaxed afternoon of live jazz from emerging young musicians will take place on 28th June from 2.30pm. Performing will be Ravenscar brothers Teddy and Lucian Blockley, who together make up jazz duo The Low Tiders.

Fifteen-year-old Teddy plays upright double bass, having first started playing bass guitar at the age of eight before recently moving onto the double bass. Younger brother Lucian, aged 12, takes the lead on tenor saxophone and has been interested in music from an early age, having played piano and drums since the age of three. He first discovered the saxophone through free trial lessons at primary school with the North Yorkshire Music Service.

The duo is continuing to develop a repertoire centred around the music they love, and their set will include favourites such as My Baby Just Cares For Me, Autumn Leaves and The Bare Necessities.

Hotel Victoria’s Head Chef, Ryan Osborne, will make an appearance at the newly relocated Seafest at Scarborough Spa on Saturday 18th July at 2:30pm. As one of the guest chefs, he will take part in a cooking demo, unveiling his expert tips and techniques, sharing his favourite recipes, and introducing bold flavours. He will be cooking up lobster tortellini with lobster bisque, compressed cucumber and lightly pickled shallot rings, herring caviar, Dale End cheddar and sunflower seed crackers, wild bay bronze fennel and lobster oil.

The summer season continues with the hotel’s Annual Music Fest on 15 August from 2pm, featuring an afternoon of acoustic performances from talented local artists. Guests can relax in the Sea-View Garden while enjoying local ales and dishes that celebrate the regional food scene.

Throughout the summer, the hotel will host its popular weekly Fisherman’s Friday evenings from 6pm in the traditional Loxley pub, honouring the maritime heritage of Robin Hood’s Bay.

With a changing menu each week, guests can enjoy a fresh ‘special catch’ curated by the hotel’s Head Chef using seafood supplied by Hodgson Fish. Dishes are perfectly paired with a selection of local ales including Timothy Taylor’s Golden Best, Saltwick Nab from Whitby Brewery and Bradfield Brewery’s Farmers Blonde.

Guests can expect to enjoy dishes like pan fried fillet of seabass, linguine of sauce bouillabaisse and spring herbs, Whitby crab, pickled cucumber and saffron aioli croute with bay bronze fennel; Whitby crab linguine, red chilli, scallions, lemon and Spring herbs with shaved pecorino; smoked salmon fishcake, caponata, salsa verde, with citrus and rocket salad; salt and pepper soft shell crab, Asian slaw, nam jim sauce with coriander and lime mayonnaise; pan fried fillet of seabream, cassoulet of heritage tomatoes, mixed beans, artichoke and Spring herbs, chorizo fritter with saffron aioli.

Andrew Long, Owner of the Hotel Victoria, said: “We’re delighted to unveil our summer programme for 2026, which brings together some of the very best elements of life on the Yorkshire coast – exceptional local food, talented musicians, and a genuine community spirit.

At Hotel Victoria, we’re passionate about supporting local businesses, producers, suppliers and musicians throughout the year. From our Summer BBQ and Music Fest to our popular Fisherman’s Fridays, each event has been designed to celebrate the people, flavours and traditions that make this area so special.

Whether you’re joining us as a hotel guest, visiting for the day or are one of our valued local residents, we look forward to welcoming everyone to enjoy great food, live entertainment and unforgettable views across the bay this summer.”
