Stada Thornton & Ross Join Forces With Huddersfield Town Foundation For New Partnership
Representatives from STADA Thornton & Ross and Huddersfield Town Foundation came together at the Accu Stadium to launch their new health and wellbeing partnership.
STADA Thornton & Ross, one of the UK’s leading producers of consumer healthcare products which include Covonia®, Savlon®, and Hedrin®, has announced its partnership with Huddersfield Town Foundation ‘to make a real difference by combining resources to support community health programmes’.
On the new partnership, the CFO at STADA Thornton & Ross, James Collett, said: “This partnership enables us to extend our purpose beyond our much-loved brands and healthcare products we provide every day, creating meaningful opportunities and networks to support wellbeing in the communities where our colleagues live and work.”
The pharmaceutical manufacturer, which has operated in Colne Valley for generations, has been announced as the Huddersfield Town Foundation’s new Health and Wellbeing Partner.
The two organisations are ‘aiming to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people across Kirklees through a series of community-focused programmes and initiatives throughout 2026 and 2027’.
On the impact this partnership can have in their area, Collett said: “Having lived and worked in the area for more than 30 years, I’m excited to see the positive impact this collaboration will have.”
“As a business that has been a proud part of the Kirklees community for generations, we are delighted to partner with Huddersfield Town Foundation. Together, we share a purpose of improving lives and caring for people’s health.”
The collaboration will focus primarily on driving ‘measurable improvements in both physical and mental wellbeing while encouraging healthier lifestyles across Kirklees’ after local data showed that 66% of parents were concerned about access to mental health support.
Huddersfield Town Foundation will deliver a six-week health and wellbeing curriculum in schools across Kirklees alongside free community football sessions in Linthwaite.
The foundation will also support older people through additional activities which will include engagement in both care homes and day centres as they hope to ‘tackle loneliness, improve mobility and promote self-care’.
On their new partnership, the chief executive of the Huddersfield Town Foundation, Sam Dainty said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with STADA Thornton & Ross, an organisation that shares our commitment to improving health and wellbeing across our communities.
“This partnership will allow us to reach more people with programmes that make a real difference to their lives. By combining the Foundation’s experience of working in communities with STADA’s expertise in healthcare and prevention, we can create lasting positive impact for people across Kirklees."
Alongside the delivery of community programmes, the partnership will also support a ‘schedule of engagement activities and events for STADA Thornton & Ross employees, including health activations, match tickets and educational workshops.’
