The Nano Park Company, which specialises in creating the highest quality combined workshop and office space across Yorkshire, has announced its pioneering development in Skipton is now complete.

The Bradford-based company’s latest Nano Park is located within the Snaygill Industrial Estate on the southern outskirts of the town.

It features five 1,760 sq ft hybrid units, combining a 50 per cent ground-floor workshop/storage layout with a 50 per cent high-specification first-floor office.

Edward Marshall, a director of the Bradford-based Nano Park Company, explained: “The astounding success of our ground-breaking Nano Parks in Bradford, Wakefield and Armley, which are completely full, has encouraged us to repeat the model elsewhere in Yorkshire.

He continued: “We were very delayed in completing this development due to an extremely awkward and protracted problem with Northern Power Grid (NPG) which delayed our project by 18 months, but once this was sorted out, we have brought the units to the market as soon as we could.

“We are delighted that our Skipton development is now complete, bringing much-needed flexible hybrid business spaces to this popular area. As one of the only speculative developers building anything at the moment, we are sure we will see strong demand.

“In this time of the Government trying its best to stop British industry succeeding, we are pushing back and doing our best to deliver what companies need.

“These quality units are designed specifically for small trades, fledgling startups, and larger corporations requiring local satellite operations.

“The units feature are hi-spec, featuring roller-shutter ground access, air-source heat pumps, and pre-fitted gigabit-capable fibre broadband. Now the park is complete, we are just beginning to market it and are expecting extensive interest in all the units."

Jimmy Marshall, co-director of the Nano Park Company, added: "We are in the age of the entrepreneur with more and more small and start-up companies looking for self-contained space of their own. We expect up to 50 jobs will be created on site, providing a timely boost to the city’s economy. We are very proud of this.

“We are now providing flexible, affordable and attractive business premises to help companies of this type to grow and prosper, where they want to be. This could be in an attractive setting, a great location or a site with superb transport links.

“They were snapped up at Bradford, Wakefield and Armley, and our Huddersfield park by the M62 is progressing well. We have every confidence that our Skipton park will be equally successful.”

The Snaygill Industrial Estate is located on the A629 Keighley Road, about one mile south of Skipton town centre. It sits conveniently near the Skipton Bypass and the A59, making it a major commercial hub in the area.

The marketing agent for the Skipton Nano Park is Alastair McDowell of Ilkley-based Atkinson Associates.
