The Alma Inn at Colne is to host a Ladies Day event this summer, with proceeds going to Pendleside Hospice.

The afternoon takes place on Thursday 18 June and begins at noon with a Prosecco arrival, followed by a three-course meal. A programme of live races forms the centrepiece, with prizes for those backing the winning places, alongside a best-dressed competition. A live DJ will provide entertainment throughout. Tickets are £45 per person, with a £10 deposit securing a place.

The event takes place at a venue well suited to the occasion. Set amid spectacular moorland views and minutes from Wycoller Country Park — the landscape made famous by its associations with the Brontë sisters — the historic inn on Emmott Lane retains the character of an earlier age, with stone floors, original beams and open fires. The Alma is known for pairing fresh seafood and hearty classic dishes in a traditional pub setting with a modern twist and also offers nine en-suite bedrooms for those wishing to stay.

Money raised on the day will support the work of Pendleside Hospice.
